Hi All, Got a nightmare job with this at the moment! It itermittently loses power under load and sometimes there is little response from the thottle and then all of a sudden it takes off so fast that the TC lamp flashes where it is trying to spin the wheels!! There were originally codes for throttle position and turbo boost control stored, and customer complained that the car would sometimes slow right down and not respond to the throttle, he would then turn vehicle off, re-start and away it would go again! But since checking loom (see below) no codes are now present! Wastegate is free, Boost control valve is operating ok, CAT is not blocked ( have removed front pipe from Turbo), Tried new MAF, all pipes are clear and there is a good source of Vacuum etc. A friend of mine who works for VW advised me to look at all the wiring plugs under the fusebox as they suffer from water ingress. They were slightly damp so I dried them out and covered with a light coating of spray. Could I have a damaged throttle switch/position sensor unit on the pedal?? In the workshop I scoped either side of the connector plug from the throttle pedal sensor below the fuse box at the same time, and both rise and fall in unison, but then again it always revs ok in the workshop! Sorry for the long post gents, but this is getting a pain in the A** Cheers again, Gunner.
