    Hi Paul,

    Have you actually had the car die and then take off like a rocket yourself? It doesn't sound quite right for a boost control problem. As far as I know as soon as the ECU sees boost much out of range (either high or low) it uses limp home values so you should never see both problems together if it's boost control unless you switch off and re-start.

    It sounds more like TPS to me. Can you log the throttle position sensor as you drive with your kit? If you have Vag-Com you can log t/position and boost together. The throttle shows as 1-100%. You should see the TPS dropping out at the wrong times in the columns of figures.
