I rather liked the idea that the people didn't vote the way their leaders wanted them to vote. I was cheered on the night, only it didn't last very long. It was, I think, close to the definition of a pyrric victory. I think it's rather sad that the 'ordinary people' who voted for Brexit, are the ones who are gonna pay the highest price for it. A real set of costs, compared to the mirage of 'taking power back', power they never even had in the first place. Why 'ordinary people' would imagine that Brexit would have any positive result in their lives, is beyond me. It's a comforting illusion. But, hey, if people are really willing and ready to pay the price for their dreams, good luck to them. But I'm not gonna lie about how I feel about things because it upsets someones religious beliefs.
