"If I was a Tory leader I would wait till Labour becomes a wishy washy Remain party then turn the Tory Party into a Full Brexit No Deal party and at that point call a General Election" They've just come in beneath the Lib Dems for being a wishy washy Brexit party and if you want to talk of democracy, then the grass roots party and the majority of Labour voters are firmly for Remain, therefore Labour as an entity should be too. Labour needs to drop this 2nd referendum nonsense as being totally anti-democratic or if you have one make clear this will not include a remain option it will only be asking which type of Brexit do people want. As I've pointed out before, unfortunately article 50 presents the most extreme case: Hard Brexit as the default. That course of action is hardly "Democratic" in itself (because it wasn't on the ballot)and moreover we have now seen Farage and pals democratically offer it as their only policy and fail: 35% to the clear Remain parties 40%. Labour and Tory "Brexit-ishers" have been demolished at 14% & 9% respectively so your above assertion simply takes us no further than "Brexit means Brexit" or "..you will have hard Brexit whatever it was you thought you wanted..." - Just why you believe that to be a democratic stance is beyond me.

- Quite ironic really, it's not Corbyn who is going to destroy the Tories, but Farage - psingh May 27, 2019, 4:11 pm
