I wasn't talking about finkelstein, but my own view is this; while Israel continues its open call for the Jewish diaspora to join Israel, Palestine has a right to do the same. When that right is honoured, exiled Palestinians may choose to stay where they are or not, same as Jews around the world, or Diego garcians for that matter. But from my perspective, there is no point conceding anything on the exiled Palestinians while Israel refuses to do the same. Otherwise all that is happening is two steps back by Palestine and one forced step back for the same by Israel at gun point. You don't fold in the face of your oppressor, you double down. If you're supporting the oppressed, you certainly don't fold on their behalf. That's up to them and them only. Otherwise all you are offering is more of the same patronising western superiority (old fashioned colonialism). Trust us we know best. All that nonsense. Can't comment on finkelstein because I didn't read what he said/wrote, but I can comment on the question with my own thoughts, which is generally what I do. Cheers
