Cheers mack...I agree, especially about the tedium. Not sure I'd say he was 'asking for it', but agree with your description otherwise. It seemed a bit needlessly provocative to me, and as you say, over nothing important. The only thing that I would add which might help explain my exasperation over the whole affair is that there are almost no genuine dissidents left on any mainstream platform. Somehow Galloway was left alone, and the reach he had to bring important truths to a broad public was nothing to sneeze at. I have a friend in the same position in a Canadian newspaper...he's on thin ice, and I hope he can hang in there. People are exposed to some truth about Canadian foreign policy they will never get anywhere else unless they go looking for it, and I think that's important. Hard to measure the impact of such things but I think it's not insignificant. Maybe Galloway was going to lose the platform anyway, but no need to hand them a convenient pretext if it can be avoided. I doubt whatever he might have lined up has hundreds of thousands of listeners but I hope I'm wrong about that. He's an excellent analyst who deserves an audience.
