sorry folks ..if you even have a primitive understanding of the laws of thermodynamics or conservation of momentum you'd know this. Honestly, I despair of the scientific illiteracy displayed here. You may have good honest political and economic ideologies to compensate, but if otherwise intelligent and humane people like you can be swayed by such profound pseudo-science in this day and age, no wonder the world's such a mess. All the other stuff about reversed polarity, asymmetric magnets, and "gravitational sling shot effect" are ridiculous notions, designed to bamboozle the uncritical or as I said, the credulous, without any scientific, or even simple logical, basis. The gravitational sling shot (aka gravity assist) is a known phenomenon, and has been used countless times by NASA space probes, but that only works because the body in question is itself moving. The spacecraft glancing near in the correct direction from behind the planet's forward motion, picks up some acceleration due to this planet's orbital motion around the sun (at the same time the planet loses an unmeasurably small amount of it's orbital velocity and would immeasurably move away from the sun) There is conservation of momentum and of energy - nothing gained without an equal loss.. This has nothing to do with magnets revolving around an axis in some fanciful machine. This article explains the principles very simply http://community.dur.ac.uk/bob.johnson/SL/1.html Doubtless there'll be countless other similar articles available by googling. The paper referred to is related to permanent magnet motors and how their torque pulsations, ie vibrations, can be minimised. I don't profess to understand it, but it's nothing to do with the original posted article. The youtube video on the Perendev motor; this is the "perpetual motion machine" in one of its many disguises. It doesn't work, and never could. To break the laws of thermodynamic or conservation of momentum would turn physics on its head. It would be equivalent of inventing an antigravity machine or a time machine. If the inventor Mike Brady had invented what he claims, he'd be a trillionnaire by now. He ended up in prison for fraud instead https://www.psiram.com/en/index.php/Mike_Brady There's a Quora discussion on the Perendev "motor" here. https://www.quora.com/Is-a-magnetic-motor-that-produces-free-energy-possible I don't mean to be too rude or condescending, but thanks for the laughs. Cheers. JKM
