'Magnetism in a solid permanent magnet is a state of matter, a force, as I said like gravity. It's not a resource of power' Er, actually not. Magnetism is a field; it's categorically NOT matter. Matter is defined by objects with mass. Just as 'a force..like gravity' is also not matter; it's a force (and it's substantially different from a magnetic field but I don't have time for that). Also: 'Magnetism's resource is only useful if electricity is supplied as in a motor or motion is applied as in a generator'... That's a bit like saying gravity's only useful if you want something to hit the ground when you let it drop. Magnetism (the field, not the matter to which it is attached) is a critical element in the conversion of mechanical energy into electricity.
