I don't understand the bit about the law degree. You don't need a law degree to have a view on capital punishment.
Mack's question is very pertinent and goes to the heart of what democracy means. Is it good to always go with the majority view, come what may, or should that view sometimes be ignored? Or should some things not be asked?
