Btw, since 73 something like 8 out of the 11 referenda in the uk have been on sovereignty based issues. Others were on voting method and boundaries. I think zero on issues of law.
Such National votes seem limited to issues which affect all people together. That is in fact the best example of democracy.
If you're not in favour of democracy, then you have either the choice of anarchism, or authoritarian rule. There are no other options.
