"overwrought", "psychiatrically abnormal", "appears to have been stage-managed", "appears distraught", "emotionally disturbed", "monomaniacal focus", "issue she doesn't understand" I pay a quid a day to read my news here and for you to sneer at me. I think I've read enough to see smears when I read them. Also enough to understand that he's saying don't react to strong consensus that global warming is catastrophic and going to lead to large parts of the planet becoming uninhabitable.....because it's unprovable. This seems to be a basic misunderstanding of the scientic method let alone the science of global warming The science of the heat trapping effect of CO2 is just a physical law - sure there are chaotic peturbations and uncertainties - but if we keep adding net CO2 to the system the heat is going to go up and human uncivilisation will come to a gloomy and uneccessary close. Being just past peak oil means there's still as much oil as been burned in the whole of history still to be burned - ditto coal - so not much repsite from the idea that there's going to be a decline in it's use. We don't have to focus on heat death we could look at CO2 as an epiphenomenon of our wasteful and uncontrolled use of finite natural resources like forest - just another of the many limits to growth which will predispose to large and rapid population decline. One way or another we are going to have to change our behaviours or expire. Sorry you think a critique of denial is in someway silencing. I haven't told anyone to shut up and this is no prison. I set the board up so my access to informed comment could be aintained. I've been quite open about that. I can't see it being sustained by you all for ever but I'll enjoy it while it lasts - as I hope others do. I can refurbish the other lifeboat and you can pay for its up keep and set sail on the good ship It'll Never 'appen if you think there's an appetite for it. Cheers Dan
