I'd have thought this is pretty alarming:

especially as there is next to nothing in place to turn the graph around. (Sorry don't know how to copy the picture here.)
And no, we cannot know for absolute certain what the relentless rise of CO2 means. I don't think this present emergency bears any comparison to the "end of the world" predictions of past times, many of them based on God's wrath or some such.
But who is screeching hysterically?
