I'm promoting intellectually-exact uncertainty, dan, it being the precisely correct rational posture Archived Message

about what we can know with certainty about where this-all is going. It's a bit rich to say I'm promoting denialism and inaction, with my record of constantly going on about the Synergising Global Crises - always including climate shift - and banging on about mass tree planting (where I've also led by example these past forty years). How does that square, bro? And in case you're feeling emotionally-attached to Greta's initiative, I'd point out that my take on her from the first has been: this looks like a comically-obvious fit-up by iffy realpolitik playerz of an innocent-but-monentarily-handy kid... but... if she can produce some net good in our facing up to the SGCs, in spite of all the playerz' manipulations, then good on her and I'm right behind her. That story isn't over yet, so we'll have to wait and see. Dmitry's citing of the Severn Suzuki instance is very appropriate. Otoh, it's simply not deniable that she's been taken up for her quarter-hour of fame by the Western propaganda machine. And no savvy person can regard those chancers as being anything but malignantly on the make. That just has to be watched closely, with a very cold eye. Just common sense. Are they really going to use her to promote some serious, honest, fair facing up to the Crises. Or what? One only needs to ask the question to see the stark contradictions in the situation. And then there's the Cory Morningstar line of investigation, which also simply can't be ignored, it being too substantial. Tricky, innit? Cheers dan!
