-As I've actually pointed out numerous times before on this board and will probably be the only area where more are created because that's what what the manufacturing focus willl be after Brexit.
The UK military budget being increased because the elite see the UK's future as a US proxy military dog and of course the business being kept afloat on direct MOD spending. In addition overseas deals (the UK has risen: largely through aiding the mass murder of peasants in Yemen- to again being the worlds second largest exporter of weaponry) are usually all insured by the taxpayer under an export guarantee system that means they get paid by the taxpayer if the gangsters around the world default on coming up with the cash.
Aside from Tories of all shades having money in the biz, it goes all the way to the top with prince Andrew being "chief cheerleader" for the "Industry" and of course “We're really rather good at making “Certain kinds of weapons...” as his brother: another of the multi-uniformed military mad members of the royal family also regularly used to sell death toys has pointed out.
