colleagues made was - simply to tell the truth, regardless... I wonder seriously about Max being naive enough - then - and yet being so savvy about the inner villainies of empire - now - to not have seen what was really going on in the aggression against Syria, from the start. Plenty of us did see it. And if he saw it, but condoned by silence or even active support, what does that say about a commitment to truth-telling? And justice? "Once found out to be a liar..." or even just a truth-ignorer...
