Great, so please let me know what your parents' politics are, so I can decide if you're credible. Setting the parameters, ignoring my gist and simplifying to extinction the case I was making. Another time perhaps. The relevance of me stating the following should be clear: In a similar manner that Mary tends to analyse these connections. In other words one delves into the background, the family connections, history, cultural ethos/ethical inputs etc. It may or may not have relevance, and until you considered it, you would not know the score. There is always the rebellion or parting of ways, against the social mores imposed by family/culture etc. and then there would be a clean slate, so to speak. Then the relevance of this becomes clear: Most of the time it shouldn't matter and journalist's work should stand on its own Further, I fail to see how this strawman fits into this: No one is responsible for their parents' political beliefs/actions/milieu. Needless to say, in Max’s case there is a connection with Hillary/Dems via his dad. Is that directly relevant? Frankly, I don’t know enough on the subject, but it would be interesting to find out. |
