I mentioned Blumenthal's father's politics because I saw it mentioned in a few of the below-the-line comments. You're correct, brooks, it's not relevant here and was a superfluous mention.
Funny that Margo, just as I was thinking *it is* relevant you decided it has no relevance : ). It's the social milieu I am interested in. Most of the time it shouldn't matter and journalist's work should stand on it's own, but this case is slightly different and these connections may have traction or even become relevant later. In a similar manner that Mary tends to analyse these connections. Some people found this annoying (e.g. DJ). Not me.
