Not sure why Blumenthal's parent's politics are relevant here, nor what the implication that he may be intelligence is based on, or why you think he may be nudging us into nefarious channels. There may be "no room for naivete" but there's even less for smears by innuendo against journalists risking their lives and sacrificing their careers to tell the truth about things that matter and expose the crimes of their own government.
