Re: directional disabilities
Hi Sara, I know this is a bit out of date now but like you I've only just come to the realisation of a recognised disability. I am totally incapable of working out where I am, where I've been and in which direction I need to be headed. Unlike you I am fine in very familiar areas such as College, work and my route to and from, but out of my comfort zone I am lost. Often I find myself heading to appointments in completely the wrong direction or coming out of a shop and starting to walk back the way I've already been. Even looking at a map and trying to pre-plan my route in advance is useless I just can't recognise where I'm headed! Have you found any help for your problem yet? Any advice would be great. Amy
