My last comments were not meant to be a put down of surfcasters James. Just how I percieve the fishing and boating retailers/wholesalers and advertisers would see surf casting when compared to boat fishing. In financial terms a person with a boat would be seen (rightly or wrongly) as more likely to spend more money on fishing than a surf caster. Thats demonstrated by the fishing shows being boat orientated. They go where the money is.Not putting boat owners down either James, just telling it as I see it.
Also I would suggest only a minority are willing to go that extra mile to jump in a vehicle and drive for ks to get a few fish. Many would be more likely to go to a local beach and sling a hook, often not really expecting to catch anything and certainly not spending limited time and vast sums of money on rods, reels skirts, floats, imps, quads etc etc.
