Hi Dave,I am in no way offended by your comments, in fact I commend you on the professional approach and your focused comments.
So for the record and for those who don't personally know me , I am foremost a technician with a pride and passion for the qualities that this Industry should reflect.My single most ambition if I have one ,is to raise the profile of the highly skilled technicians this Industry desperately needs. I hope to achieve this both in the way I conduct and run my own business,and through the articles and presentations that many of you may be aware of.The training and website activities are obviously a commercial venture,this enables us not only to achieve our primary objective but also finance the inward investment to ensure a competitive edge. I enjoy a great deal of personal satisfaction in meeting and training other professional technicians with similar objectives. I do however have little regard for any individual or business that demonstrates lack of such respect or willingness to invest in time or skills training, and yet expects a share in such a lucrative market sector, the e-learning is a extremely proud achievement from which technicians may share my 38 years knowledge. The future is indeed going to be difficult, it is a future in which I intend to succeed.I believe it is vital to establish a network of specialist technicians with extensive knowledge of particular manufactures and systems, where perhaps a sharing of information and possibly hardware would bring about mutual benefits, we are currently working to introduce this through our website platform. As previously stated we are no longer in competition with each other, we are in competition with the manufactures,as regards to equipment sales and recommendations these are made strictly on personal use knowledge from our workshops and not by financial gain. You may be shocked with the fact that we do not receive financial incentive payments from any equipment supplier nor would I accept any such payment.It is our future intention to expand our business offering training research and development and to continue to share our knowledge through our e-learning programme globally, bringing together not just national technicians but international technicians such as our new Russian friends, to share in what is a global challenge, and on this issue I am prepared to lead,I do however need your continued support.
