This was very common issue when both models were current cars.
X18XE and X20XEV used simtec 56.5 and the cam sensor is inductive using phase shift principle to ID cam position.
The 2.2 engine used in Omega B was fitted with either Simtec 70 or 71. The engines look the same and the cam sensors look the same. But they are quite different in operation. Smitec 70 / 71 are Hall effect / digital output.
When they fit the wrong type it causes a short circuit on the 5 volt reference line. that why you get lots of other errors logged i.e throttle position and pedal sensor etc. I have seen this to damage some ECU's.
