Firstly the last time anyone tried "sonny" on me must have been well over forty years ago...surely a shout of "bounder!" or "cad sir!" would be more appropriate to that apoplectic "outraged of Tunbridge Wells" style you foster? On your question: why should we be re-running the EU referendum. If you had read what I have actually posted on the issue then you woudn't be raising a straw man. You have an affirmative advisory poll to leave the EU. Other than that you have no idea what relationship people want with the EU but you can bet your bottom dollar the intention of the majority isn't to crash out of all arrangements with your largest trading partner with no trading arrangements, common financial regulation, health standards nor anything else made whatsoever never mind your land border issues and the incompatibility and indeed, probably the illegality of such a Brexit considering the Good Friday Agreement, which is what the default situation presently is. So you need another different vote to actually conform and clarify that your politicians are doing is what that vote intended because... you don't actually have a clue. Is it Mays arrangement, is it the Norwegian model...? is it really no model at all? Further to that the polls in fact suggest that you don't even have a majority to leave anymore, never mind an agreement for the post Brexit arrangement. To carry out a no arrangement Brexit is then a bit like Labour taking power and deciding that because people voted for Tory Austerity at the previous election that they had a commitment not only to honour it but to double up on the program to the point of insanity. As to Scotland,at least the SNP were competent enough to actually have a blueprint published so people knew what they were voting for: https://www2.gov.scot/resource/0043/00439021.pdf So wheres the Brexit blueprint? That's right: It never existed, which is why nobody has a clue what was voted for and why the UK is in a total state of chaos and of course why you need a clarifying referendum.
