I think you're making your mind up without knowing the facts, siding with the cyclist over the the litigious (but injured) pedestrian. "The fact that she was with others shouldn't be that relevant" It is. If she was with others, she was visible. People don't love that fast, so being part of a throng means it was also slow moving by nature of being a gaggle of pedestrians. The cyclist may have made a split second decision that he could Avoid her whilst maintaining momentum (not coming to a stop). I believe that is entirely a probability, but I don't know, and nor do you. Cheers
