I'm never going to despise JC, Ken. And I think you and I both came out as rabidly 'left-wing' inArchived Message

one of those two-axis graphs of where one stands on the spectra between very radical and very conservative. So not all the lefties on here are dismissive of Jeremy. I still suspect that he's in with a good chance in this current switchback-ride of chaos. A whole lot of people responded very positively to Labour's mildly radical, mildly socialist manifesto last time; as they did to Jeremy's honest and sincere campaign appearances. There's a hunger for that down amongst the grassroots.
Won't it be a hoot if - with hindsight - it becomes clear that Johnson is as much of a useless Bulli-boy rich creep as Cameron and Gideon O. turned out to be? (We can draw a merciful curtain over the absolutely bloody hopeless May episode...) Won't it be an even bigger hoot if the hindsight consensus is that the English-raj class shot themselves decisively in their collective foot with all the frantic behind-the-scenes scurrying about and plotting that they've been doing just lately, with their 'Stop Corbyn ar all costs!' panic?
Fingers feckin' crossed! On such imponderables does British 'democracy' crash about.
