with the Tory majority and Tory Government for three years which did #### all to obtain a consensual approach to Brexit by reaching across to all parties from the start.
About a month ago everyone in the media started pushing the people versus parliament bullshit leaving the Tory part in this fiasco completely behind the curtain. The Tory government, what's that? Parliament didn't agree therefore it was Parliament's fault - the fact that the May government couldn't get her own rabid ERG members to vote for her crap deal was suddenly nothing to do with her. And of course that's all we've heard from Bojit and Scummings since they fooled the pearl bearers to vote them into power!
If these tossers want a no deal Brexit then I'm for anything else.
I suppose it's time to plead the Keith argument - should we not forget all those who did not vote in the referendum. We could say that in addition to all the remainers there were all the non-voters who did not vote to leave the EU - over 14 million or 28% of the total electorate. A democratic vote so called does not include the non-voters but no-one thinks twice about saying all the new voters on the register should have a chance to vote now that they can! There is an argument to say that since less than 50% of the electorate voted to leave then the status quo should remain the same and we should stay in the EU. The way around this is to make voting mandatory so that the decision is clear we could do this under the Labour Party's policy.
I don't recall anyone making these arguments - apart from Keith in relation to GEs only.
