Prevention of USAmerican Illiteracy in Britain]. Greek, you know. Very old fashioned I agree, but what can we do? English is full of the stuff! (Toff's English, anyway) Think yerselves lucky, English-speakers! If you were speaking Cymraeg (the oldest British language still continuously extant since antiquity) you'd have to know an assortment of a dozen or so frequently-used plural forms, plus a penumbra of others less often applied, but still to be remembered properly. (Presumably you know about oxen, children, deer and sheep, do you...?)
