- I wasn't able to vote in the referendum but as I repeatedly said the danger of Brexit is that the tories would be doing it so becoming the next US state was definitely on the cards in practice if not in name. Had JC been in charge I would have jumped for a Brexit result not least because it would open up the possibility of socialist equality policies. I asked a question - why do we never count those who do not vote?
