I would have the same hope for your daughter's future as I would have for my (four) daughters' future. However, there is a problem that is intervening between this wish and the possible reality. That's what we're discussing. Is global warming urgent? Yes, according to all the science, it is. Was it urgent twenty years ago? Indeed it was. Is there such as thing as being too late? Indeed there is. Is it a crisis? I'm afraid so. It's a crisis because we haven't heeded the science and the warnings. Is there anything more important than sustaining the planet we rely on? I can't think of anything. So your wish for your daughter is fine, but concern and immediate action for what we are doing to our planet (and societies) are going to be more appropriate. That might give everyone's daughters and sons to enjoy the company of others as you have so carefully listed.
