you need to work on your reading comprehension RhG. Willem was obviously pointing out that the argument that because we can't know the weather in 2 weeks we can't make predictions about ten years from now. No one is claiming to have exact knowledge about the climate in precisely 10 years. You know that. Why not engage in honest debate rather than obfuscatory diversion? Assuming that mitigation is possible or even just for the benefit of our last years on earth proper regreening and contraction is going to take organisation. Do you actually want it remain the preserve of isolated rebels? The change is going to be organic. There will be attempts to co opt but both Greta and Extinction Rebellion whatever their motives are raising awareness of the need for urgent action. There are plenty of people who will be using these movements as a stepping stone to more radical action. There will also be plenty of people trying to undermine these movements because they would prefer to see no change at all. cheers, dan
