I think you misunderstood my criticism of the article. In it they rubbish the "world will end in 11 years" prediction as if this is what the scientists (or the vast majority of activists) say. It is NOT, nor do I think it. It is futile to say with precision what happens in 11 years. What we can do, in fact what you've so often done yourself, is predict where things are going in all likelihood. The consensus regarding this is pretty solid. Yes, I call it drivel if the same old (deliberate?) confusion is made between weather and climate. It is inherently difficult to predict the weather in a few weeks time, not so the climate. A simple analogy: as a pan of water is heated up to boil, one cannot with any great accuracy describe how one point in it moves, but with great accuracy one can predict it will all turn to gas after some time.
