I realy like your idea Phill of a series of comps around the country timed right you could make it quite an event (i.e head north in the cooler months) with a final in a set area with big points on offer.

On a beach like the 90 i think your idea would work GK but in other areas it dose become a lottry ticket but I do like the idea of a 2 day event, Day 1 restrict the boundry Day 2 go hard open to anywhere.

It comes down to one thing at the end of the day
It is a National Event to find the best in the compertion, as an angler HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT IT i believe to win an event like this you have to put in a massive amount of effort do your home work and have your shit sorted.
In saying that I/some would also be interested in just going along for the experance and fishing along side some of the best this country has to offer.
