currently budget changes is needed across the board in all sports, the economic down turn will effect more then 1 or 2 of us on here, at the end of the day changes are a must to keep these sorts of champs ticking over, with being involed with motorcycle racing and currently we are looking at rule changes to superbikes and the main thing people are asking is to help limit the cost of mods to said bikes, how ever that sort of thing cant be applied here

What are things fishos want to see, help bring costs down? etc etc
Im down for the idea of a championship series I belive this is what is needed for a NZ title of any shape or form... kind of like why have the world championship in rowing but we have the olympics if you get what I mean.
How ever with doing a series like this means more travel, time off work and assiocated costs that everyone here will be aware of....
But with that system will that help attract numbers to enter comps or push them away...

At the end of the day its a NZ title up for grabs and the person who deserves it the most is the person that puts the most effort in regardless of what the code is no one should hear comments off "dude your lucky to get that title" so a lottery type system doesnt seem a right fit IMO but if you were to do a lottery type system I belive you MUST give extra day to fish where ever in a region, that way if you have ticket that puts you on a spot that is mud but knowing that if they put even more effort in to making up your losses on day 1 if you get my drift there for the above comment of the most effort deserves it!

Im still only new to surfcasting and maybe a bit out of line here but I think what is important that pros and cons are looked at and get anglers to have their say and not just base it on manority or decided by people that arent out and about with NZACA and not knowing what people want.
