If The Customer wants a quick fix, He pays full price for all the hours put into the job, If he needs a definite price or doesn't want to spend anything on it then he takes it away. ( rarely ) I was Undercharging by quite a lot, But put my prices up to £30.00 + vat per hour, ( Thanks to the UKAT Survey ) I then broke up for Christmas last year and decided ( People are realising how much they get ripped off by dealers and are very reluctant to go to them ) One of My Customers came in last week with a 2003/4 Megane which had been to the Dealers, They Quoted for a Service and MOT @ £1200

that if i was going to carry on with this job, Then i had to make it pay to cover all the stress and hassle. I Instantly put it up to £40.00 + vat per hour. I get very few complaints and the ones that do Would also complain at £20.00 per hour.
Including new Tyres etc, The Customer Removed the Vehicle and went for New Tyres fitting to be Told that there is nothing wrong with the tyres and they DO NOT need changing. ??? They had it Serviced for £300.00 and £80.00 for MOT. ( must have been taken for MOT by the Garage. ? )
This is now in the hands of the trading Standards according to the customer.
The Reliability Survey that is linked from that site is a bit out of Date. ??
