Hence they "get away" with fitting unnecessary bits that you wouldn't even suggest to your customer!

Hence the "we'll plug it in and see" attitude.
It'll take them down a path, say replace xyz component if symptoms persist, test A, B & c then replace another component = fix
You diagnose correctly, they "blame it" on the computer....
