This site is ran by a reputable warranty company?? Thats a first. I too stopped doing warranty company work after spending more time on the phone "discussing" the fault than actually carring out the repair. Warranty companies term & conditions are also not as transparent as they should be.I mean who are they to decide what is fair wear & tear and not a mechanical breakdown? The terminoligy used is there way of baffling customer's and to enable the companies to find a get out clause.
I charge £35 + vat labour charge and to be told by a warranty company they only pay £25 per hour was a joke! I told my landlord the same would i get a discount??? NOPE!
Also labour rates are open to variables too.I may charge 2 x 35 for a service where the next garage who charge 28 per hour and charge out 2.5 hours still equates to 70.00 but a customer (who very rarely does) who just focus' on an hourly rate may not get such a good deal as they first think.
