Know your customer is probably the best answer. Sometimes when you take a booking something in the back of your mind says 'he/she won't show'
I suppose the problem is more the economic slowdown we may be facing. Most times when we get a no show at the moment it's a relief, because we are often overstretched, trying to squeeze in just one more MoT or emergency clutch job.
