Hi Alan. CO of Around 0.5 is Roughly what you would expect when the car has a Faulty cat. A Slightly high 02 Reading is Because the Cat isn't Working and isn't burning up the Oxygen. The Lambda is high ( that is the Lambda reading out of the Exhaust, Not The Voltage reading from the sensor ). because of the excess 02 that isn't being burnt up by the cat. (so replacing the 02 sensor won't make any difference because that isn't the problem in the first place) And The Reason for 3 Cats in 2 years is Most probably due to the Customer being Very " Cautious with his money" So If he Wasn't so Tight. err I mean cautious, Perhaps he would have Bought a Decent Quality Cat in the First Place and saved himself a lot of Money in the Long run. ??????? ( But then again, Thats Very unlikely as it's the amount of money They can save at that Actual moment in time that really counts, Tommorow will look after itself or they can then Try to Blame the Problem onto the Garage owner that tried to save him money in the first place if it goes wrong again.) Awaiting Corrections from the Higher Authorities.
