It is misguided to believe that, and snobbery is one very good explanation. I'd rather not call you ignorant in a tit for tat. Critical thinking is limited by being told what to think, and what to think about. That can happen as a result of education as much as through laziness. We are educated by Teachers Books Newspapers Radio Television Society We learn to question things by a desire to know wtf is going on, whether that is motivated by the political or scientific. That desire is only linked to education in the minds of the 'educated'. I'm telling you you are wrong because you're conclusion is unscientific. Either it's based on snobbery, or ignorance. I believe it's snobbery, which, in my experience seems to be a strong peddler of dismissiveness of others' experiences and worth. I'd suggest again discarding pointless statistical conclusions. The stats might be good but they could tell a different story depending on your prior opinions, so be careful with them (I also did statistical analysis for a number of years, interesting, as long as you don't try to make the data fit predefined patterns too strongly.. If you do, ethically, you have to show the bad with the good).
