Ok, no one else who commented so far on this thread saw this either Ken. Because what you're demonstrating here is a corrupt, elite under the table trade deal between capitalists rather than an inevitable outcome from leaving the eu. The U.K. Is not small and vulnerable; in fact, despite its size it still throws some weight (but because of those same elites and how they make the uk bigger than it is). Australia, on the other hand is big, in natural wealth and size etc, and yet doesn't throw as much weight as the uk. And yet, though it's health care system probably about similar in efficacy to the uk today, and nothing but independent trade deals with other nations, and a 'special' relationship with the us too, so far hasn't had its health service taken over by the us. So the deciding factor can't be Europe, but corrupt elites here. Others here have said similar; brexit isn't the issue, not the central reason behind these under the table deals. Also, as I said, the U.K. Can do deals with the rest of Europe if it chooses, just as Europe does deals with Australia, and the us. So why jump to attention of the us as a first port of call? Is it perhaps because they already were, via special relationship, etc? I'd say more likely, and also more likely, us is sore because their inside man (the uk) to the eu is threatening to leave that establishment, weakening the us capacity to control the eu. Evidenced by changing attitudes in Europe to us ideas about Russia etc of late. All this stuff links together, but brexit is not the culprit, rather, nasty little pricks flexing to one another behind closed doors are. Extricate the all pervading mythology that leaving the eu is the source of all our future woes and we might have a chance at fighting those woes rather than using the majority of the country and democratic voting as a convenient scapegoat for all the blame. If the people are divided by that vote (ie, it's all your fault mentality) they have us right where they want us, which is not pointing fingers at the right people! Worst thing is the establishment have been playing this game for centuries now and we are still falling for it.
