I think it's nonsense and I'm surprised at the tacit agreement that Brits are cheering on American healthcare. I've lived here for 20 years and haven't met one Brit (or any Americans for that matter) that cheer on American healthcare. As Keith suggested, it's hyperbole to put it that way. It just isn't the case. In my experience, many people seem to think we're damned if we do and damned if we don't regarding leadership. It might be cynical thinking but it matches the reality so far. Being asked to give the bastards one more chance to prove us wrong is the best that's on offer. I suspect many will hold their noses and vote, but I would bet all the Tory supporters will vote, and that won't be enough with fptp in play, and even if it is, having not weeded out the huge number of blairites we don't stand much of a chance either way. If the establishment wants to sell off the nhs, it will be done and has already begun. I just don't get the anger for pointing all that out. To be fair, johnlioburne response was more considered .
