Over my many years of fishing I have often seen Kontiki owners march down to the beach and send out there torpedo without even as much as a thought for the person next to them. Often the thing whizzes off in front of your rods and they dont even bat an eyelid. If you ran a poll on this site you'd get find most surfcasters have experienced this.
Few surfcasters can cause the nuisance that a kontiki owner can cause with a wayward kontiki and a "stuff anyone else attitude". Its that arrogance that creates the friction that leads to this so called "open warfare". Ive been on this site for years also and I'm afraid any kontiki owner will soon feel the ire of those with rods thanks to the actions of those in there ranks who dont show respect for others. Rightly or wrongly thats the likely result. Maybe the Kontiki makers should put up a website for there followers. Then everyone would be happy.
