I have tried to stay out of this discussion but.............
Yes TT does sell long line gear weather it be for boats , kontikis or kites etc and I am working on another way of getting big shark baits out behind the waves.
The biggest problem with kontikis I believe that it is mostly perceived , it's the old story 10% of the fisherman catching 90% of the fish.
I believe that education is the key. When we take the boat out we can catch a lot of fish but we rarely bring back more than a feed.
I have played around with kontikis and find it a pretty boring way to fish , it can be interesting pulling the line back in.
This is where the first problem raises its ugly head because if you have hooked fish you don't want, most of the time they cannot be returned successfully .
May be reducing the number of hooks could be looked at.
