Another thing to watch out for with Axa and possibly other companies is the road risk cover. I mistakenly thought my wife and I were covered any vehicle any where and any time but when I asked (as if I was about to make a claim) I found out that we are only covered for any customers cars left in our custody for work related use and our OWN vehicles ONLY for social domestic and pleasure. So when driving my daughters car on a Sunday I was told I was not covered as it was not business use and not registered in my name. When I asked a policeman (customer) to look at my insurance certificate he was quite happy that I was fully covered from a police point of view - so how is a normal policy holder supposed to know if he is or isn't insured?
