But, the trouble with this is how do you fight a case if your customer told you to just fit the clutch center plate or asked for just one injector to be replaced? Before you know it there will be a paper trail a mile long justifying every little thing and signed by your customer in case there is a problem.
Would you just fit one injector or would you fit all four to cover your backside, and if you quote for all four and then the customer goes elsewhere and they only fit one and the fault is sorted you stand to be reported as a rogue. So again before you know it your quote will be a mile long showing all possibilities (if that is possible).
So, really I do not know how this could ever work, there are to many varying degrees of satisfactory work, standards, equipment, training, buildings etc etc.
Same would apply to government enforcement, just how could it be policed?
I do think Steve Nicholas has a valid point.
