-The UK gov can pretty much give itself whatever powers it deems at any time it deems. The only issue is whether they keep their supporters which is not hard when you and your chums own the media. Keeping that media support though might prove trickier. "Right, so why no estimates on the consequences of the lockdown? That's all I ask." -As there were never any plans for a lockdown, why would there be any estimates? "Who's pretending there's nothing to worry about. .." Ah... so there actually is a new deadly virus out there whose complexities are virtually unknown to us, but which is killing people in large numbers: large enough to make even a ruthless laissez faire government think twice and institute a lockdown it clearly didn't want? -Good to know we agree in something. |
