https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-52436658 To be honest I've given up listening to stats used selectively to make arguments. There are likely many confounders for why Sweden has had a better out come - not least the population trusts the government and has stayed in isolation without coercion. Financial support from the state has allowed that. My mum has completely lost the plot in isolation. The UK government is still not doing anything adequate to protect the public health - testing, health care workers - ppe, the population - immediate financial support (ireland 6 days?, uk 3 months) We have no idea where we are in terms of community testing. 5 of 7 hospitals in our area have now built reverse osmosis units that allow dialysis using mains water rather than gallon bags of saline. I don't understand the technology but understanding the logistical effort required to do that in two weeks makes me proud of my colleagues. cheers, dan
