| When I said change their minds I meant about approach rather than goal. Very few people honestly change theirs minds quickly if it all, but most intelligent people do change how they attack a problem. And I'm not sure herd immunity is the goal but a herd cull, by any means necessary. The goal is money, and power (the old and the frail cost it) and the young and poor threaten the latter. Killing two birds with one stone is a better bet than getting just the one outcome. Hence change of approach. So you need both social control and the cull to increase and hold onto the wealth. It. Looked like the nhs was going to be threatened with total collapse a couple months back and as I said that's not good for sales. Say what you like about the tories but they can juggle more than one object and organise. There is among the left always this tendency to believe in their incompetence but it's not a thing I've ever thought. |
