"predicated on negating this truth" Sad to say that this is more or less true now..but political systems are evolutionary, we're just taking the obligatory "two steps backward" right now (in-fact I think just finishing doing so), also how "radical" is appreciating the efforts of one's predecessors? Look at Japan a better country for it's tradition of respect for the elderly surely (although it has some nasty "traditional" problems too -don't they all?-), ..
