Hi again. Camco are completely independent and we have no control over them. If they send us an ECU which we do not recognise , we will , of course , try and provide the best information we can as we are aware that someone is working on a car and any information is better than none to the technician. It frustrates us when anyone sends an ECU to us without checking that it is one we have a test for, and it is also a major cause of problems when the information provided is inadequate or inaccurate. We spend hours on the telephone everyday trying to obtain information which should have been sent with the units we receive. What is the alternative? - send everything back which has inadequate information sent with it i.e 50% of everything we receive or try and provide the best information we can. We are in a no win situation , as most people know , we will try to provide an honest assesment of what is possible. In the case of your ECU , it arrived and we were able to perform a basic functional check which showed the injectors , ignition , supplies and communications were all working when checked as a generic ME7.5.10. As to the fault with your vehicle , I suggest that you monitor pin55 as the ignition is cycled on and off to see if it goes to 5volts for a few seconds to eliminate the possibility of a short circuit or wiring fault on the car , I would not try this too many times however for fear of damaging the unit. We have seen these type of ECUs damaged by wiring faults excessively loading the external 5volt supply. I can think of one example on a car such as yours where a faulty EGR valve had effectively shorted out the 5volt supply and therefore stopped everything. It is difficult to guess the fault from here. We are always willing to recheck the ECU for anything specific if it would help though , as we do not have a reference ECU of this part number , we can only perform generic tests. Best of luck. Mike
